Sinclair afforded me the opportunity to transfer here from our Pensacola/Ft. Walton stations several years ago, and it turned out to be both challenging and fulfilling. The city and market has enjoyed positive growth for many years, which has been further strengthened by a very committed and talented station staff.

As the Director of Sales Promotions, I help secure local and national advertisers through the development and execution of nearly 40 budgeted promotions per year. My success is the result of the well rounded relationships that I have with my managers. One of the greatest opportunities Sinclair offers above other companies is the potential to advance to many different levels from within the company. With the large amount of television stations under the Sinclair umbrella, an employee has a built-in network of opportunities for advancement to positions in other markets and within their own stations. In Nashville alone, there are three television stations' sales teams under one roof! I have been fortunate. Through hard work and managers who believed in growing their employees, I have been able to advance from Sales Assistant, to Account Executive, to National Sales Manager, to Local Sales Manager, to General Sales Manager of two stations and then to Director of Sales for three stations in the spann of 16 years.

I started as a National Sales Assistant at WRDC/WLFL (Raleigh) in 1994. In 1996, I transferred to KRRT/KABB (San Antonio) as the assistant to the General Manager & Station Manager. In 1997, I was promoted to local/regional account executive for KRRT. In 2005, I was promoted to National Sales Manager for KRRT & KABB. As you can see, in my 12 years with Sinclair, I have been able to experience tremendous job growth. I now have a career and not a "job".

The main reason I work here is the people. I really enjoy the people that I work with at KMYS/KABB.

I like working for Sinclair because Sinclair likes to hire within their own family. I like the fact that Sinclair owns 58 television stations, so there are many opportuinites for job growth within the company. I also like the 401K matching that Sinclair does with its employees.
